The Minami area includes Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Street, popular with shoppers of all ages, Ebisubashi, known for giant signboards with glittering neon lights, and Dotonbori, known as the town of kuidaore (ruin yourself by indulging in food). The Minami area embodies the vibrant image of Osaka that many people have! This area is always busy with many foreign tourists. You can soak up the friendly atmosphere of authentic Osaka by watching Japanese comedians at comedy theaters or eating takoyaki (octopus balls) and kushikatsu (deep-fried skewered meat and vegetables) on the street.
