Michiaki Mochizuki
1953 Born in Shizuoka. He has created a unique world of work using a variety of techniques, including stencil dyeing, Tsutsugaki, bronze, ceramics, glass painting, prints, lithographs, and wood carving. He has also designed many books, including the “Complete Works of Teru Miyamoto” (all 14 volumes), and received the 1995 Kodansha Publishing Culture Award Book Design Award. In 2001, he won the runner-up prize at the Bologna International Children’s Book Exhibition for his collection of paintings and essays, “A Stroller on the Road”. His collections include many such as “Circumferential Sheep” and “M’s Dictionary”.
