2026 Theme.

InfinitizeYour Creation / Imagination

Following Osaka Art & Design 2024 with the theme “Resonance” and the 2025 event themed as “Overlaps,”
Osaka Art & Design 2026 will take a step forward to infinitize expressive activities.
In 2025, the Expo year, a variety of information streamed into Osaka from around the world.
Osaka Art & Design 2026 will digest and interpret the experiences and inspirations the Expo provided
toward the creation of original artistic and design expressions,
which will in turn stimulate someone’s creativity, resulting in an infinite expansion of circles of creative people.
As an incubator of imagination and a supporter of creation in the future, Osaka Art & Design 2026 will deliver its message to the world.

Wall Art Tour : Exploring MURAL TOWN KONOHANA

Area : Konohanaku

Mr. Takanobu Kawazoe, the project representative, will provide a guided tour of Konohana Ward, which features 37 murals from 22 countries. The event will include an introduction to the area’s history and local art spots, as well as a talk session with poet Mr. Yoshinori Henguchi.

Kitasemba Tour : Exploring Modern Architecture of the Great Osaka Era

The Semba area has developed as the heart of Osaka from the early modern to the modern era. Shinichi Takaoka, a director of the “Living Architecture Museum Osaka,” will guide you through the architecture from the “Great Osaka” era that is still in active use today.

Minami Tour : Exploring Osakaʼs Iconic Department Stores and the Legacy of Two Master Architects

On this tour, architectural historian Shunsuke Kurakata, a board member of Living Architecture Museum Osaka, will guide you through Minami, home to glamorous department store architecture and the modern works of two celebrated Osaka architects : Togo Murano and Tadao Ando.
