Kenta Shibano’s graphic art, which was used as the key visual for Osaka Art & Design 2024, will be displayed along the Osaka Ekimae Underpass.
He expresses the encounter and interaction between people and artworks at the event venue, and the resonance and connection that will result, with line drawings connecting circles. The visuals of the works are filled with the contingency of rough yet precise irregular lines, and the distorted patterns and shapes in parts represent the expansion and extension of the event. Please pay attention to the myriads of two connected circles that occupy the space.
Kenta Shibano
Graphic designer & printing designer. Born in Osaka in 1988. In 2010, graduated from the Department of Architecture and Urban Design at the College of Science and Engineering, Ritsumeikan University. Once a member of Nomart, he is now active at “Live Art Books”. He handles everything from design to print construction and process management for printed materials, including art and architecture-related promotional materials, art collections, and art books.

Umeichi Osaka Station Underpass Media Street is an underground passageway opened in April 2022 in Umeda, a business and commercial center in Osaka that is serviced by multiple railway lines. The passage is equipped with a total of 47-sided digital signages and can display large posters and column and sheet advertisements. It is also available as an event space.
