As a new initiative for Osaka Art and Design 2026, with the cooperation of JR West Station City Co., Ltd., we will be broadcasting video works throughout the day on the Midosuji South Gate Vision at JR Osaka Station. For this project, we have partnered with two organizations dedicated to discovering young talent: ISCA (International Students Creative Award) and NYAA (Next Young Artist Award). They have carefully selected five past award-winning and selected works each to share with the many people passing through the city. Please take a moment to experience these fresh expressions of our current times, woven by the creators who will shape our future.

ISCA(International Students Creative Award)

The International Students Creative Award (ISCA) is a global creative competition dedicated to university and vocational students worldwide. With the goal of discovering and nurturing the next generation of artistic talent, ISCA recognizes outstanding achievements in video and digital content creation, attracting numerous ambitious entries from across the globe each year. For this screening, we have selected and will broadcast works by five up-and-coming creators honored with the ISCA 2025 awards: Hinako Kikkawa, Ryuichi Ono, Yuki Kimura, WANG XI, and Sofía Castro.

NYAA(Next Young Artist Award)

The Next Young Artist Award (NYAA) is one of Japan's leading creative competitions for student artists pushing the boundaries of new expression through media and technology. Formerly known as the Campus Genius Contest, it has a nearly 30-year history of discovering and nurturing the next generation of artistic talent. It highly evaluates cutting-edge works that capture the spirit of the times, crossing diverse genres such as video and interactive art. For this screening, we have selected and will broadcast recent award-winning and selected works by five up-and-coming creators: Mushroom, Aoi Serizawa, Kei Kanamori, Yoshihisa Kitamura, and Fuka Katayama.

JR Osaka Station Midosuji South Gate Vision

Within the massive terminal of JR Osaka Station, the Midosuji South Gate experiences particularly high foot traffic, with a constant stream of commuters and tourists passing through. As a place that symbolizes the station's vitality, it is a nexus where one can feel the dynamism of Osaka.
