Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts
The Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts opened in May 1936 with the aim of providing citizens with opportunities to experience outstanding art and culture and contributing to the broader promotion of culture in Osaka. The main exhibition halls host special and themed exhibitions. The themed exhibitions feature a rotating display of approximately 8,700 items from the museum’s collection—including Japanese and Chinese paintings, sculptures, and crafts acquired through donations—as well as works on loan from shrines, temples, and other institutions.
