Alexandre Imai’s roots lie in Senba. He loves Osaka! And it is in Osaka that he showcases his current work. His pieces are bundles of energy, overflowing with an insane amount of power. With their intense, forceful presence, his works transcend the boundaries of art and captivate viewers. This maverick who once took the art world by storm continues to charge forward boldly today. In our chaotic modern world, his unique worldview shines with a distinct brilliance.

Alexandre Imai
Born in Paris in 1959, he lived there until the age of five. His father was Toshimitsu Imai, one of Japan’s leading artists of the Art Informel movement. He moved to the UK in the 1980s to study under David Bailey and is also a photographer. His representative works include *Booska: A Stroll Through Tokyo* and others. As a painter, he is a remarkably prolific artist who has sold over 200,000 works to date. His energetic and powerful works continue to evolve.
