Ceramic artist Yuichi Onishi attempts to visualize his "inner landscape," starting from his own background, in three dimensions or space. This exhibition will feature new works from his representative "Landscape" series, as well as a collection of hybrid sculptural works using raw ceramics and Nachiguro stone, which he has been working on in recent years as a new experiment.

Yuichi Onishi

Born in Kumano City, Mie Prefecture in 1993. Graduated from Nagoya University of Arts in 2016. Ceramic artist. Using pottery and Nachiguro stone as expressive mediums, he attempts to visualize his "inner landscape" based on his own background. The pale jade-green glaze, which can be said to be the representative color of his works, is created by blending "Nachiguro stone" produced in his hometown of Kumano, and is frequently used in Onishi's ceramic expression.
