Access to the digital world through smartphone and PC displays has become commonplace. However, there is also a physiological discomfort with the ambiguous digital world beyond the display. In this work, optical fibers are arranged on the surface and connected to the pixels of the display inside. The optical conductivity of the fibers disperses the pixel light, bringing the digital world into real space and expressing an unconscious connection.

xorium

xorium is an artist collective formed in July 2017. Comprised of two members, Ryo Takekawa and Shingo Nakamura, they create three-dimensional works and spatial presentations using a wide range of skills, including video production, programming, and mechanical design, and create works based on the idea of "comfortable coexistence of digital with real space."
