These lighting pieces are born from a dialogue with familiar materials such as fabric, sand, metal, and wood. Light enhances the unique character of each material, adding new expressions to everyday life and creating a sense of warmth and subtle shadow.

This exhibition showcases the atmospheric qualities of these lights and the design process behind them. By tracing the presence of lighting in daily life and the thoughts of the designer, you may discover unexpected facets of ordinary materials.

KURANOIE

KURANOIE is a Japanese design studio established in 2023. It is characterized by expressing the essence of the designers' diverse lifestyles through clear forms. The resulting works, imbued with a unique aesthetic, spark curiosity. Their work encompasses a wide range of design disciplines, including material development, traditional crafts, furniture, branding, and photography. They have exhibited extensively both domestically and internationally, including Milano Salone Satellite 2024 and UNKNOWN ASIA 2024.

A long-established department store serving as a landmark in the Osaka Minami district. The store is directly connected to Namba Stations on the Nankai Electric Railway and the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line, offering a wide variety of ladies’ fashion, cosmetics, and sundries.
