This exhibition is a grand-scale introduction to popular contemporary artists from around Japan and other parts of the world focusing particularly on well-known artists in the pop art field from the 1960s onward who had major influences on a global scale—including Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Jasper Johns, Keith Haring and others. Pieces from other artists will be shown alongside these, including a selection from Nick Walker, who is considered by many to be the progenitor of street art.
