The sense of solidarity and empathy that arises from sharing the act of making masks out of cardboard is seen as a tribe named "Dumbo," and the results are exhibited as a kind of ritual.

Yoshikazu Inoue

Photographer.Born in 1976, Inoue began taking live photos of familiar Kansai bands around 1997. In 2010, he became the official photographer for the Ishinha Theater Company, and has since photographed numerous stage productions. In 2015, he established Inoue Photography Co., Ltd. While expanding the scope of his activities, he continues to focus on photographing live shows and stage productions. His "Dumbo" project, which involves making masks out of cardboard, became a hot topic on social media. He has held exhibitions and workshops, and has been featured on TV and in the media.
