In the latter half of the 19th century, known as the "Exposition Era." Takashimaya exhibited "art textiles" at domestic and international expositions, in which artists drew sketches and artisans used dyeing and weaving techniques (embroidery, dyeing, and weaving) to create pictures. At the time, these were mainly exported products, so there are only a few examples remaining in Japan. This exhibition brings together over 50 pieces "made by Takashimaya" from the collections of the National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto, Kiyomizu Sannenzaka Museum, and Takashimaya Historical Museum.
