The Espace Louis Vuitton Osaka presents an exhibition dedicated to major artist Alberto Giacometti as part of the Fondation Louis Vuitton’s “Hors-les-murs” programme. This exhibition displays seven key masterpieces of his oeuvre, belonging to the Collection. On the wall are presented photographs of Giacometti in his studio, taken by Sabine Weiss, a major figure in photography and humanist movement.

Alberto Giacometti

Renowned for tall and spindly bronze figures and as a one of the leading artist of 20th century, Alberto Giacometti was born in 1901 in Switzerland, moved to Paris (France) in 1922, where he lived and worked until his death in 1966 in Switzerland. In 1956, he represented France at the Venice Biennale and later won the Biennale’s Grand Prix for Sculpture in 1962.
