We are moved by the city just as we are moved by the beauty of nature. Because in modern society, the nature that has been sacred to the Japanese since ancient times has been transformed into the city. Iron is made from iron ore, nitre from quartz, and concrete from limestone. Cities are part of nature. We are in awe of the city just as we are in awe of nature. The city is expressed in photographs as a new sanctuary.
