A long candy, striped socks, a long scarf, a green leaf…what can you make? A snake is ready! Colorful materials are transformed into animals one after another in this labyrinthine workshop. Pop, smash, boing! The workshop is filled with fun sounds. Enjoy the sounds and colors of this cutout picture book! Its colorful, intricate paper cut-outs will enchant children and adults alike. Selected for display at the Illustrators Exhibition, Bologna Children’s Book Fair in Italy, 2016.

Chihiro Takeuchi

Chihiro Takeuchi is paper cut artist living in Osaka, Japan. Teaches artwork at companies, kindergartens, primary schools, welfare centers for the handicapped, etc., organizes workshops, and supervises artwork books. In 2015 and 2016 Chihiro was part of a select group of artists to exhibit at the prestigious Bologna Book Fair. After winning a prize at the Bologna, she has published picture books in Japan and many countries.
