Art of Lines and Light

Kengo Kito is a contemporary artist known for his large-scale installations using large amounts of fabric, ribbons, string, mirrors, and other ready-made objects. He explores the effects of color, form, and light by arranging objects across space. One of his installations, LINES, will be on display for a limited time in Namba, Osaka. This work of art, composed of 87 colorful sticks arranged in an orderly fashion, invites the viewers to reflect on one of his major themes, “lines,” and to enjoy a special space created by the pleasant rhythms and contrasts of colors.

This installation was conceived with the idea of displaying a bright and colorful work in the bustling Namba area.
